29 September. I did some low flying up to Mount Glorious this morning. Climbing up from Brisbane's western suburbs through the fragrant eucalypt forest to Mt Nebo and onto the rainforest coolness of Mt Glorious. The Maiala Teahouse is fairly quiet, so I settle in with a book and a cup of tea, listening to the sounds of the kurrawong and forest birds. Bikers pass through every few minutes on their way West, or back to Brisbane. I could live up here.

The exhaust heat shield brackets gave way on the way up, so I dropped in at the exhaust shop on my way home. They'll have to fit a flexible connector to fix the problem. Cost about $175. Could be worse.
