We trial-fitted the body so we could locate the scuttle exactly. Here is a shot showing the car with body and scuttle ready for drilling and attaching. I am using M6 hex head bolts with rubber roofing washers into M6 rivnuts to fix the scuttle, with three bolts per side. The roofing washers are the kind used for fixing corrugated clear plastic roofing (alsynite?).
Initially we drilled 1/4 inch holes for the M6 bolts through the fibreglass lip of the scuttle and the sides, but we then enalrged those holes to 13mm, as it was too difficult to align using the small holes. The washers seem to hold the scuttle very tightly.

With the scuttle located accurately, we could cut and fit the 3-ply backing plate for the dash. This shows how little room there is above the steering wheel when using the AE-111 Corolla switchgear. There's no way I can fit the 100mm Toyota instruments in that space, so I'm sort of wishing I hadn't bothered getting the scuttle hump option, as it makes things more complicated for the aeroscreen. Anyway, I now know where the instruments can't go!

Having passed it's final inspection, it was time to fit the Willans four point harnesses. This was fairly easily done, as the Westfield frame has the mounting points for the eye bolts built into the tube behind the passenger compartment. The belts make you feel really snug, and will be a lot safer than the old retracting lap-sash belt. Those things might be ok for a closed car with airbags, but they're just not good enough for this kind of vehicle. They look OK too!

The car gets it's first wash after a blast up Mt Glorious and down the Brisbane Valley to Kilcoy and back. This was the first long trip for the car, and it ran beautifully. The only problem was the lack of windscreen. At 100kph, with trucks passing and bugs hitting me, I decided the aeroscreen was the minimum required. Also, despite a cloudy day, I got pretty sunburned. I lost my cap as well, so I need a cap that can stay on at 100+ kph, or more hair! I'd go for the hair option, but it costs more :)
