My name is Robert Flaherty. I am a 46 yr old living in Brisbane, Queensland. I currently work for the Brisbane City Council as an Oracle Database Administrator. Here's a photo. I ran it through Photoshop a few times, but it's not getting any better.. sorry.

And just for the record, I am not having a mid-life crisis :) It's just that like many men who like cars, I put aside my petrol head leanings to raise a family and be generally responsible and boring. Now that's mostly behind me, I can get back to where I left off when I was 21. Now where are those Deep Purple CD's..

I am married to Helen, who is a teacher aide at a Pre-School. She is very keen on this project, probably because it keeps me from doing something even more irresponsible. Actually she is very supportive and as excited about the project as I am.

We have two teenage sons, Ryan and Drew, and I will be calling on Ryan's skills a fair bit for this project. He has a lot of experience with welding and metalwork, and has a good head for mechanical things, and electronics. Drew is currently studying Multimedia, and is a budding digital artist. I should probably have consulted him before I started this web page.
